Vehicle set on fire Friday

A vehicle was intentionally set on fire while it was parked at the Parkway Motel, 3425 Highway 61, the Red Wing Police Department reported. Officers were dispatched to the scene at about 3:30 a.m. A 2003 Chevy Venture, owned by Shannon Trollen, Red Wing, was engulfed.

A nearby boat, owned by Mike Sobocinski, Red Wing, and a 2005 Dodge Durango, owned by Joe Frechette, were also damaged.

The fire is under investigation.
