Ellsworth gas station robbed at gunpoint
An Ellsworth gas station was robbed at gunpoint Aug. 1, the Ellsworth Police Department reported. At approximately 3:15 a.m., the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department’s dispatch center received a report of a robbery at SuperAmerica, 176 W. Main St.

A lone suspect reportedly entered the store, displayed a handgun to the clerk and requested money. The suspect then fled with about $590 in cash.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 5 inches in height. He was wearing a Carhartt-type nutmeg-colored hooded three-quarters length jacket and blue jeans. A blue or black bandana covered his face, and he wore green-colored rubber dishwashing gloves on his hands.
The semi-automatic handgun was dark in color.
