Fall hockey training

Students in grade 8 or above are invited to take part in hockey training classes Sept. 5 through Oct. 31. On-ice skating instruction will be provided from 8:45 to 10:15 p.m. Mondays at Prairie Island Arena. Off-ice training will be 8 to 9:30 p.m. at the Red Wing High School weight room and will incorporate lifting, agility footwork, stability and custom training. Cost is $350.

Wingkids triathlon

A triathlon for kids will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday Aug. 11 at Colvill Park. It includes swimming, biking and running. Age groups are 4-7, 8-10 and 11-13 years old. Cost is $25. Learn more information at www.wingmantri.com.
