Two file for school board openings
Two people have filed so far for the open Red Wing School Board positions.

Heidi Jones is a current board member. She has served as board chair two terms.
Janie Farrar is the president of the Elementary Parent Advisory Committee. She has never served on the board.
Filing opened Tuesday at the Red Wing District Office. Candidates have until Aug. 14 to file. The cost is $2.
Four at-large school board positions are open. Mitch Boldt, Dennis Porter, Jones and Mike Christensen’s terms are up at the end of this year.
