The Red Wing VFW team won three games last weekend to advance to the Final Four playoffs next weekend.
Post 1218 picked up a 2-1 victory over Rochester Century, a 12-1, five-inning win over Cannon Falls and defeated Faribault 8-3 Sunday to advance in the playoffs.
Austin Strand knocked in the game-winning run against Century in the seventh inning. Red Wing finished with just two hits in the game.
Ben Stone reached base when he got hit by a pitch. Post 1218 bunted Stone to second base and Century walked the next two hitters before Strand came through with a base hit.
Cody Leitner went 6 1/3 innings for Red Wing and got a no decision.
Ty Buck threw a three-hitter against Cannon Falls for Post 1218 and struck out five for the win.
Michael Bigelbach drove in three runs with a triple in the third inning while Cam Voigt and Strand each drove in two runs.
Gunner Tubbs put Red Wing up 4-3 in the fifth inning with an RBI single against Faribault and Post 1218 never looked back.
Thate Peterson went 2-for-3 with two RBI and Voigt drove in a run.
Stone started the game and went 4 1/3 innings. Buck closed the game out and struck out five of the six batters he faced in the last two innings of the game.
