A Red Wing man was sentenced July 6 to 57 days in jail and five years of supervised probation for robbing a man last February. Travis John Corrigan, 20, 352 Frenn Ave., pleaded guilty to one count of simple robbery in April.
According to a court complaint filed Feb. 10, Corrigan helped two other men rob a third man by punching the victim in the head and demanding money. The robbery occurred at 352 Frenn Ave.
Corrigan’s other charges, including two counts of first-degree aggravated robbery and a fifth-degree assault charge, were dismissed. Corrigan received credit for 57 days served, and was released from Goodhue County Jail.
In a stay of imposition, if Corrigan successfully completes his five years of probation without violating any the conditions, the felony charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor.
The two other men involved in the robbery, Craig Donald Jablonske, 51, 352 Frenn Ave., and Robbie Edward Espinoza, 30, of 825 Bush St., were sentenced earlier this year. Jablonske received a stayed two-year prison sentence; Espinoza is serving 18 months in prison.
