Kids' Crusade returns to Lake City for four nights

Children and their families are invited to four nights of free fun at the annual Kids’ Crusade in Lake City.

Children and their families are invited to four nights of free fun at the annual Kids’ Crusade in Lake City. Comedian Randy Christensen will share an inspirational message for the whole family through clowning, puppetry, comedy, drama, illusion and music. Each night will include a new program, door prizes and treats.

Christensen began juggling in 1980 and soon after was introduced to the art of clowning. While in college he performed on weekends at area children’s hospitals, nursing homes, community centers and churches.

Christensen has taught clowning and creative communication methods at various local, regional and national workshops and performed in 25 states and four foreign countries. He has written more than 20 books on clowning, variety arts methods and children’s ministry.

Parents are invited to attend with their children; and children age 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult. A free-will offering will be received. While not mandatory, pre-registering will allow children to compete in the “Bringing Friends Contest” from the first night they arrive.

Kids’ Crusade starts Sunday July 22 and runs through Wednesday July 25 7 to 8:30 p.m. each day at the Valley View Assembly of God Church, 305 W. Grant St., Lake City. For more information, call 651-345-3432 or email education@vvaglc.org.
