Leitner wins Red Wing 10K
Christian Leitner won the Red Wing Fourth of July 10-kilometer race Wednesday at Bay Point Park. Leitner won the race in 36 minutes, 49.76 seconds and beat out Joan Dewalt, from Darby, Mont., who finished second in 38:32.40. Christian Leitner won the Red Wing Fourth of July 10-kilometer race Wednesday at Bay Point Park. Leitner won the race in 36 minutes, 49.76 seconds and beat out Joan Dewalt, from Darby, Mont., who finished second in 38:32.40. Dewalt set a women’s course record with her time.
Andy Jensen, from Hastings, finished third in 42:24.81.
Lindsay Scribner won the 5-kilometer course in 21:31 and Torry Kraftson, from Bayport, Minn., won the men’s 5-kilometer in 16:55.
Red Wing resident Richie Mark placed second in the 5-kilometer in 17:37.71 and Red Wing’s Aiden Winn finished third in 18:38.19.
Proceeds from the race benefit the Red Wing cross-country teams.
