Preliminary reports indicate no fatal crashes during the July 4 holiday, typically the state’s deadliest day on the road, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Office of Traffic Safety reported.

In the last three years Independence Day has been the deadliest 24-hour period with 21 deaths. Not all agencies have completed their reports for the 2012 holiday yet.
