Management switch of nursing home operations is finalized

The switch shifting management of nursing home operations at Seminary Home and St. Brigid’s at Hi-Park to the Benedictine Living Center of Red Wing was finalized effective July 1.

The switch shifting management of nursing home operations at Seminary Home and St. Brigid’s at Hi-Park to the Benedictine Living Center of Red Wing was finalized effective July 1.

“The transition has been a lot of work for Seminary Home, St. Brigid’s, and Benedictine Health System staff,” Benedictine Living Center of Red Wing CEO Jacob Goering said in a statement. “They’re excited about the future and recognize that joining forces has put us in a better position than ever before to continue in our health care ministry.”

A new facility consolidating local senior care services will be built on the medical campus, with construction slated to begin late 2012 or early 2013. In the meantime the existing facilities will continue operations under their current names and with their current administrators.

A celebration for employees, residents, families, facility friends and volunteers is planned at 2 p.m. July 16 in the Seminary Home Chapel and 2 p.m. July 17 in the St. Brigid’s at Hi-Park Chapel.
