Spotlight: Bruce Hecksel's paintings have gained acclaim across the country. Both originals and prints will be available at the Abode Gallery 7 p.m. Saturday July 7.
Vibrant, explosive color and motion with an interweaving of place, emotion and melody, his work speaks to the viewer in unpredictable and exciting ways, organizers said.
The celebration can’t be contained by just the gallery, they said. So as the evening flows, so will the art as it is joined by music from Hecksel and Julie Patchouli outside on the Widespot Performing Arts Center SideSpot Stage.
Together they are Terra Guiterra. The music, like the art, grows out of a classic tradition. Better known as the group Patchouli, Hecksel and Patchouli will switch to Terra Guiterra to complement the art work on display.
Hecksel’s art will be on display at Abode Gallery through July.
Light treats and a cash bar will be available at the performance.
