One HHS division will use electronic documents system
The Health and Human Services Board unanimously approved Tuesday the purchase and implementation of an updated system for the HHS income maintenance division.
The Electronic Document Management System will help the division improve efficiency, ease workload demands and allow for more space by switching to a paperless operation.
Winona County recently implemented the EDMS and offered a joint opportunity to Goodhue County, but HHS Deputy Director Mike Zorn said it isn’t a practical option.
“The cost they want to charge us to go in with them is more than if we were to do it on our own,” Zorn explained.
Tuesday's Health and Human Services Board meeting lasted about an hour. All members were present.
