Drivers needed for volunteer transit program
Hiawathaland Transit’s volunteer driver program will begin operations in Goodhue County starting July 1.
Hiawathaland Transit’s volunteer driver program will begin operations in Goodhue County starting July 1.
The program currently operates in Wabasha County, where volunteers are used to transport clients who can’t utilize public transportation or don’t have a personal vehicle. Volunteers are needed in both counties and will be reimbursed for mileage at the current IRS rate.
Volunteers can state when they’re available to drive as well as which locations they are or are not willing to drive. Those interested in helping should call 866-623-7505.
