Lake City junior Katy Bolduc shot 81 to finish tied for 10th after the first day of the Class 2A girls golf state tournament at The Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan.
Bolduc shot 41 on the front and 40 on the back to finish in a three-way tie for 10th.
Detroit Lakes’ Kate Smith leads the tournament with a 70. Detroit Lakes also leads the team competition after shooting 308. All six of its players broke 90 and three shot 80 or less to take a 27 shot lead.
Lake City eighth-grader Emily Schimbeno shot 102.
Bolduc tees off at 7:57 a.m. Wednesday and Schimbeno at 7:30 a.m. off No. 10.
