Northfield held Red Wing to three hits Sunday in a 1-0 victory in Red Wing.
Jeremy Kruse threw six shutout innings and finished with five walks and four strikeouts for the Knights. Joey Voss pitched the final three innings and did not allow a hit. Voss finished with three strikeouts.
Aces starter Jordan Warren gave up one unearned run in the fourth inning in eight innings of work. Warren scattered seven hits, walked four and struck out three in the loss.
Adam Thygesen, Steve Boldt and Josh Thygesen accounted for all of Red Wing’s three hits.
Troy Deden and Brett Barry both went 2-for-4 for Northfield. Cody Groskreutz scored the Knights’ one run.
The Aces stranded eight base runners.
Red Wing faces St. Francis Friday at 6 p.m. in Red Wing for the Dewey Tauer Tournament at Red Wing Athletic Field.
