Daniel Jon Donno, 38, also entered a not guilty plea for a motor vehicle theft charge.
According to a court complaint filed May 18, Red Wing police tried to stop Donno on Highway 61 for speeding and driving conduct. Donno refused to stop, eventually leading authorities to the Highway 63 bridge.
The chase had been called off, but then Donno got out of the vehicle and jumped into the river. He eventually was arrested.
The vehicle Donno was driving had been stolen from 2906 Lake St. earlier that night.
A settlement conference has been scheduled for July 27, with a jury trial set for August 6. Donno is being held in Goodhue County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
