Cannon Falls woman hurt after vehicle hits tree

A rural Cannon Falls woman was injured when her vehicle hit a tree Friday afternoon, the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Catherine Thompson, 75, was driving westbound on Skunk Hallow Trail in Cannon Falls Township when her vehicle began fishtailing. Thompson overcorrected, went into the ditch and sideswiped a tree.

Thompson suffered possible injuries and was transported by Cannon Falls ambulance.
