Concert in the Park
The Red Wing Arts Association kicks off its summer concert series with symphony pop band Sinfonia featuring soprano soloist Maria Jette. The appearance is sponsored by the Clean Water Land and Legacy Amendment and made possible through the Legacy Touring Grant.
A group of students will be the intermission performers. Sound Strings is a non-profit group that started in Red Wing approximately eight years ago when the school district dropped orchestra/stringed instruments from the curriculum. Kirsten Ford serves as Sound Strings president.

Flag Day concert
The Red Wing Senior Center choir, the Silver Tones, presents “You’re a Grand Old Flag” in celebration of Flag Day. Hot apple pie and ice cream will be served after the show.

Sheldon Theatre
The Sheldon’s film series continues with the 1957 movie “Jailhouse Rock.” Perhaps the quintessential Elvis Presley film, the story is about a young man in jail for killing a woman's attacker. Learning to play the guitar from a fellow inmate, the protagonist becomes a recording star after he's released. Along with the title song, Elvis performs "Treat Me Nice," "I Wanna Be Free," and more. Also stars Mickey Shaughnessy, Judy Tyler, Dean Jones.

Covered Bridge Music and Arts Festival
Enjoy the annual summer festival in Zumbrota celebrating music and art. Today’s event include an old-fashioned car hop from 5 to 7 p.m. at United Redeemer Church, a showing of “101 Dalmations” at 7 p.m. in the State Theatre and a free street dance featuring live entertainment from Gilman Crossing from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the VFW.

Today’s activities include Zumbrota Covered Bridge 5K/10K at 8 a.m., softball tournament at 8 a.m., volleyball tournament at 9 a.m., street market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Art in East Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with live music from Patchouli and 2 O’Clock Jump, classic car and tractor show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., dance recital at 11 a.m., bean bag tournament at 2 p.m., a grand parade at 6 p.m., street dance featuring Them Pesky Kids from 8 to 10 p.m. and a fireworks display at 10 p.m.

Red Wing Farmer’s Market
Red Wing's Saturday Farmers Market has live musical entertainment and other special features in addition to the fresh produce, vegetables and flowers. Festivities run all morning, with music starting around 10 a.m. from duo Jane and Harland Schultz on accordion. Special children’s activity will be building veggie mobiles. A master gardener will be on hand to answer questions.

Maiden Rock Summerfest

Sheldon Theatre
Red Wing's own international award winner Kristoffer Olson presents his 10th show at the historic Sheldon Theatre. This production will feature the show he often performs for corporate banquets around the Midwest. His comedy and magic show involves the audience in over half the show, making for an unpredictable and fresh show every time.
Joining him is Joel Ward. He will fly in from Hollywood, where he regularly performs for celebrities such as Cameron Diaz and Johnny Depp. He has been seen on Comedy Central and “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno.
