Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Red Wing will hold a public hearing in the City Council Chambers at City Hall on Monday, June 11, 2012, at 7:00 p.m., to hear and Introduce an Ordinance to Amend an Ordinance by expanding the scope of the current Interim Moratorium on the issuance of permits related to Silica/Frac Sand mining operations. The proposed amendment expands the Interim Moratorium to include land uses such as the loading, unloading, storage, warehousing, stockpiling, and processing of Silica/Frac sand within the City during the moratorium period. If adopted, the moratorium on this extended list of uses related to Silica/Frac Sand would coincide with the existing moratorium time period and would end on October 14, 2012
Written or oral comments to said amendment may be presented at this public hearing or filed with the City Clerk prior to this hearing. Each response will be duly considered and evaluated before any formal action is taken by the City Council.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the City of Red Wing Advisory Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the City Council Chambers at City Hall on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 7:00 p.m., to hear and make a recommendation on a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) request by Capital Safety USA, 3833 Sala Way, for a Storm Water Management Plan related to a proposed parking lot expansion project. The applicant is proposing to construct a 116 stall parking lot expansion to the south of the primary structure and two adjacent infiltration basins to improve water quality leaving the site. Approximately 1.7 acres will be disturbed due to the proposal. The Red Wing Zoning Ordinance requires the approval of a Storm Water Management Plan as a CUP for projects that disturb more than one (1) acre of land.

The City Council will consider and evaluate all responses made at the Planning Commission Public Hearing and the Planning Commission’s recommendation. No additional oral comments will be presented at the City Council meeting prior to a decision by the City Council unless specifically requested by the City Council.

Notice is hereby given that the City of Red Wing Advisory Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the City Council Chambers at City Hall on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 7:00 p.m., to hear and make a recommendation on a Variance request by the Red Wing Health Center, 1412 W. 4th Street, to install a 5’ tall ornamental fence, with a zero setback, in a required front yard. The Red Wing Zoning Ordinance requires a one foot setback from all property lines for a fence and allows a maximum fence height of 4’ tall in a required front yard.
