Woman has house broken into, car stolen

A Red Wing woman had her house broken into and her vehicle stolen while she was out of town, Red Wing Police reported.

Nancy Robinson, 1307 W. Sixth St., was notified by police June 2 that her 2004 Pontiac Bonneville had been found abandoned in Burnside Cemetery, 4505 Cady St. Robinson told police that she had left the vehicle in her garage, and no one had permission to use the vehicle.

It was later discovered that Robinson’s residence had been broken into. Missing were $3,940 in miscellaneous items, including a wedding band. Entry to the house was gained by breaking a window.

The burglary is suspected to have happened June 1. Police are investigating.
