Cannon Falls shut out Triton in a 9-0 win Friday in Dodge Center to close out the regular season.

The Bombers (15-5, 10-2 HVL) scored six runs in the first three innings and tallied 13 hits in the victory.

“We had some key at-bats early in the game and some aggressive base running throughout the game,” Cannon Falls head coach Bucky Lindow said.

Sophomore Hunter Blakeslee finished 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored to lead the Bombers. Senior Michael Growette went 3-for-3 with two runs scored, senior Braxton Lindow was 2-for-4 with an RBI and junior Paul Rolfes went 2-for-3 with a run scored in the win.

Senior Tyler Boyle-Hoban threw six strong innings for Cannon Falls, giving up five hits and striking out six. He also went 1-for-2 with a double at the plate.

“Boyle-Hoban was in command,” Bucky Lindow said. “And we made some key plays behind him.”

Triton had six hits and committed three errors in the loss.

Next up, the third-seeded Bombers host sixth-seeded Byron Tuesday in the first round of the 1AA West subsection tournament.
