One injured in Pierce County rollover

A 31-year-old man was injured late Tuesday evening when his vehicle rolled on Wisconsin State Highway 35, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department reported. Bryan L. Hemstad, Hager City, had been traveling southbound near County Road VV at about 11:40 when his vehicle left the road and rolled several times.

Hemstad, Hager City, had been traveling southbound near County Road VV at about 11:40 when his vehicle left the road and rolled several times.

Hemstad was trapped in the vehicle, and the vehicle was on fire. By the time sheriff’s deputies arrived, Hemstad had been pulled from the vehicle, which was by then fully engulfed.

Hemstad was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated and transported by Red Wing Ambulance to River Falls Hospital with undetermined injuries, the sheriff’s office said.

Ellsworth Fire Department and Red Wing Police Department assisted at the scene.
