Red Wing scored three runs in the fourth inning Sunday and that’s all it needed in a 3-0 win over Cannon Falls in Red Wing.
Adam Thygesen drove in two of the runs and finished 2-for-4. Jake Laffey drove in the other run and went 1-for-3 with a run. Ryan Boldt also went 2-for-4 with a run.
Andy Gibart went all nine innings for the win and allowed just five hits. Gibart walked two and struck out two for the complete-game victory.
Keith Meyers took the loss for Cannon Falls despite allowing three runs on six hits in five innings. Meyers walked two and struck out eight.
