Stewartville captured the Hiawatha Valley League Conference championship Thursday with a 10-stroke victory over Lake City at Pine Island Golf Course.
Stewartville finished with a 352 and had two sub-90 rounds from Kenzie Olson, who shot 83 and Taylor Bestor, who finished with an 87. Makayla Olsen shot 90 and Jess Rosenblad recorded a 92.
Lake City had consistent scoring but it wasn’t low enough. Katy Bolduc led the team with an 89 while Clair Gruber, Brandy Geolat and Erin Pennington all shot 91.
All four Lake City players earned all-conference honors.
Zumbrota-Mazeppa trailed Lake City by six strokes to finish third. Hannah Brengman led the Cougars with an 86 and finished third overall. Kari Thoreson shot 88 and Molly Lawler finished with a 96. Emily Krohn finished with a 98. All four Z-M players were named all-conference.
Cannon Falls placed 13th with a 442. Tatum Plonsky led the Bombers with a 96. Lauren Lecy shot 105, Maddie Moskal 108 and Maddie Adel 133. Plonsky earned all-conference honors.
