Baseball: Lake City wins big against Goodhue

Lake City racked up 13 hits Tuesday in a 12-2 six inning victory against Goodhue in Lake City.

Junior Ben Schramski was 3-for-4 with an RBI and sophomore Elliot Cox went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI to lead the Tigers (12-4, 10-2 HVL). Junior Dylan Simonic was 1-for-3 with two RBI and junior Logan Thomas finished 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Thomas also threw five innings, giving up one run on three hits and one walk to get the win. He struck out six.

Senior Thomas Ramboldt led the Wildcats (1-13, 0-11 HVL), going 2-for-3. Junior Alex Weckerling was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI.

Lake City takes on La Crescent Friday in La Crescent and Goodhue will play Zumbrota-Mazeppa Thursday in Zumbrota.
