Man reports chickens stolen

A rural Pine Island man reported that someone drove into his yard and took two chickens from his coop.

Charles Lenz told the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office that he noticed a vehicle following him as he drove into his yard at about 4 p.m. May 11. The vehicle then stopped at Lenz’s chicken coop. The driver got out, took the chickens and then drove off again.

The chickens were valued at $18.
