Spotlight:

Enjoy an evening with Butch Thompson on piano with Grammy-award winning fingerstyle guitarist Pat Donohue Saturday May 19 in Stockholm. The duo plays blues, jazz and original music and will preview tunes from their new CD, "Vicksburg Blues."

In his long career, pianist and clarinetist Thompson has earned a worldwide reputation as a traditional jazz and ragtime master. He tours widely as a soloist or at the helm of several ensembles and is also known for his long run on “A Prairie Home Companion.”

Donohue also has “A Prairie Home Companion” experience, but as the guitarist for Guy's All-Star Shoe Band.

His honors include a 2005 Grammy, several Minnesota Music Awards, and the title as 1983 National Finger Picking Guitar Champion. Donohue has also been a featured performer at major music festivals including the Newport, Telluride and Philadelphia Folk Festivals.

Local ensemble the Ditchlilies will open.
