Red Wing had every golfer shoot under 90 as the Wingers took first place at the Irish Invite Saturday hosted by Rosemount at Emerald Greens Golf Club in Hastings.
Red Wing finished with a 313, the Wingers best score of the year, 23 strokes ahead of second place Edina.
“It was a beautiful day, weather was nice, not a lot of wind and it was sunny the whole time,” Red Wing head coach Mark Herzog said. “We just really had a great day.”
Senior Marisa Toivonen led the Wingers with 72 and grabbed medalist honors.
Katie Kesti, a senior, finished in third place for Red Wing with a 78 and sophomore Nicole Schammel shot an 80 for fifth place. Junior Maddie Flack tallied a career-low 83 in eighth place, seventh-grader Stephanie Herzog notched an 86 and ninth-grader Reagan Haley had an 88.
