Track: E/PC girls take third at Colfax

The Elmwood/Plum City girls track and field team finished third Tuesday at the 14-team Colfax Invitational.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Heather Von Holtum, Kaitlyn Lee, Jessica Olson and Becky Hartung won in 4 minutes, 18.6 seconds while the 4x800 team of Hartung, Amber Osteen, Shelby Kannel and Elaina Danzinger took second in 10:39.7.

Danzinger had a second-place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:28.7 and took third in the 1,600 in 5:47.2.

Von Holtum also had a second-place finish in the 400 in 1:03.5.

Marah Boyer took third in the long jump, going 15 feet, 4 inches.

Boys take 11th

The Elmwood/Plum City boys track and field team finished 11th out of 14 teams and had the 4x400 relay team capture sixth place.

The team of Peter Fenter, David Rhy, Martin Nunez and Tristan Bagley finished in 3:59.8.
