The Bears (7-4, 5-4 HVL) got a run in the top of the sixth inning and held on for the win. Jerod Jenson drove in the winning run on a two-out single. Four of the six runs came as unearned runs.
Cannon Falls (8-3, 7-1 HVL) trailed until the bottom of the fifth inning when it scored one run to tie the game 5-5.
Byron jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning and the Bombers got two runs back in the bottom half of the inning.
The Bears added a run in the second inning to make it 5-2, but Cannon Falls came back for two runs to make it 5-4 in the bottom of the second inning.
Hunter Blakeslee went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI while Braxton Lindow finished 1-for-3 with an RBI for the Bombers.
Cannon Falls faces Lake City Monday in a doubleheader.
