Pepin-Alma took advantage of four errors by Glenwood City in a 10-1 victory Thursday in Pepin.

Senior Sophia Reidt was 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI to lead the Eagles (9-1, 8-0 Dunn-St. Croix) and senior Katie Kujak went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Junior Breanna Ellison pitched a complete game for the win, striking out seven. She also finished 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored.

Glenwood City led off the game with a double and scored a run but Pepin-Alma responded with four runs in the bottom of the first inning and coasted the rest of the way, Eagles head coach Matt Bellerive said.

“We put a four spot on them and from there we cruised,” he said. “Kind of workmanlike night; wasn’t a lot of fireworks.”

Pepin-Alma plays Elmwood Friday in Elmwood.
