Marisa Toivonen shot a career-low even par 72 Wednesday as Red Wing took first place at the Chaska Invitational played at Dahlgreen Golf Club in Chaska.
Toivonen, a senior, was co-medalist.
The Wingers finished with a season-low 315, New Prague was second at 318 and Northfield took third place with a 339.
Senior Katie Kesti shot a 77, sophomore Nicole Schammel finished with an 81 and junior Maddie Flack had an 85. Seventh-grader Stephanie Herzog tallied an 86 and ninth-grader Reagan Haley notched a 95.
βIt was a great day for the girls,β Red Wing head coach Mark Herzog said. β(Marisa) and Katie played really well. Along with Nicole Schammel, they gave us three really great scores.β
Red Wing plays again Thursday at Willingers Golf Club in Northfield.
