Baseball: Ellsworth cruises past Durand

Brady Schroeder had three hits and drove in two runs Monday for Ellsworth in an 11-2 victory over Durand in Durand.
Jacob Betthauser and Tyler Marson also drove in two runs each for the Panthers (9-2, 7-1 Middle Border) who bounced back from a 7-4 loss to conference leader Prescott last Thursday in Prescott.
Travis Kroll went five innings for Ellsworth to pick up the win. Kroll struck out five and held Durand scoreless through five innings.
The Panthers had a 10-0 lead in the top of the sixth inning before Durand got on the board.
