Softball: Farmington piles on against Red Wing

Farmington scored early and often, including an 11-run third inning, and defeated Red Wing 19-2 in five innings Wednesday in Red Wing.

The Wingers (0-8, 0-7 Missota) made seven errors in the loss.

Sophomore Hannah Walch was 2-for-3 with a run scored for Red Wing and pitched the fourth and fifth innings, allowing four runs on five hits and no walks. Junior Tesha Buck finished 2-for-3 and ninth-grader Makaela Egan led off the fourth inning with a home run and was 1-for-2 at the plate.

Taylor Haakana went 4-for-4 with a double for the Tigers (6-1, 6-1 Missota).

The Wingers face Northfield Thursday in Northfield.
