Red Wing Shoe Co.'s Vasque brand has new vice president
The Red Wing Shoe Co. has named George Curleigh vice president of its Vasque business unit. The Shoe created the outdoor footwear brand nearly 50 years ago.

The Red Wing Shoe Co. has named George Curleigh vice president of its Vasque business unit. The Shoe created the outdoor footwear brand nearly 50 years ago.
Curleigh’s career in the outdoor business goes back more than 20 years. He joins Red Wing from his most recent position as vice president of sales at Arc’teryx. Prior to his tenure there, he was managing director for Salomon UK.
“I have been a Vasque fan for many years,” Curleigh said. “It’s a brand one can’t help but be aware of in the outdoor industry. During my investigation of this opportunity, I developed an even deeper respect for the history, passion and integrity of the Vasque brand.”
“George’s deep outdoor industry experience and proven leadership skills will be a wonderful complement to the brand and our Vasque team,” said Dave Murphy, Shoe president.
