Pepin-Alma’s Kyle Ritscher continued his hot-hitting Monday with a 3-for-4 performance and drove in five runs to lead the Eagles to a 13-8 victory over Elmwood in Alma.

Ritscher, Pepin-Alma’s No. 9 hitter, went 1-for-4 with four RBI Friday in a 9-7 victory over Plum City and helped give the Eagles (3-5, 3-3 Dunn-St. Croix) back-to-back victories for the first time this season.

“It’s a good time to start crawling out of it and get better,” Pepin-Alma head coach Eric Bjork said.

Jacob Lerum went 3-for-4 with two RBI and Zach Vreeland finished 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Eagles.

Lerum picked up the win on the mound, going seven innings. Lerum allowed eight runs, six earned, on 10 hits, walked four and struck out four.

Pepin-Alma took an 11-4 lead after the fourth inning, but Elmwood closed the lead to 11-7 after the top of the fifth. The Eagles tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the fifth and Elmwood scratched across a run in the top of the sixth.

Pepin-Alma faces Glenwood City Thursday in Glenwood City.
