Pepin-Alma battled back from a 4-1 deficit in the fourth inning and went on to win 9-7 Friday over Plum City in Pepin.
Eagles junior Kyle Ritscher hit a grand slam in the fourth inning with one out to catapult Pepin-Alma (3-4, 2-3 Dunn-St. Croix) to a 5-4 lead. From there the Eagles added four more runs in the fifth to take a 9-4 lead.
The Blue Devils (2-4, 2-2 Dunn-St. Croix) rallied in the sixth for three runs but left runners at first and second with one out.
Ritscher finished 1-for-3 with four RBI for the Eagles and Charlie Raethke went 1-for-2 with two runs. Dylan Bjork finished 1-for-3 with one run and Justin Pearson went 1-for-4. Pepin-Alma had just five hits in the game, but drew five walks against Plum City starter Chad Fox.
