Come join the St. Croix Valley Genealogical Society in a grassroots effort to index the census and make it easier for all to use. The society is a partner with FamilySearch.org in this effort. An indexing party is scheduled for 6 p.m. April 24 at the River Falls Public Library.
People will learn how to download the indexing software, sign up to index and try their hand at actual indexing. Other indexers will be on hand to answer questions. If you have a laptop computer, please bring it along or plan to watch over someone's shoulder to learn how to index.
