The Ellsworth boys tennis team lost its first conference match of the season 6-1 Tuesday against New Richmond in New Richmond.
The Panthers had to forfeit two matches – No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles – but got a win from Will Huppert at No. 2 singles.
Huppert won a marathon 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 against New Richmond’s Pat Holland.
The No. 1 doubles team of Adam Lee and Parker Johnson lost a three-set match 2-6, 6-1, 6-6 (7-5).
