The Lake City boys tennis team fell 5-2 to Winona Cotter Tuesday in Winona.
The Tigers (2-4) dropped matches at the top three singles spots and top two doubles positions in the loss.
Sophomore Cort McElmury put together a strong performance against Jake Renk at No. 4 singles, winning 6-0, 6-0. Eighth-graders Eli Custer and Matthue Kjos secured Lake City’s second point with a 7-6 (7-1), 6-0 victory against Brennan Schaffner and Creve Jo at No. 3 doubles.
The Tigers face Stewartville Thursday in Stewartville.
