Boys Golf: Wingers card 302 at Lake City

Red Wing returned its full lineup Thursday against Lake City at The Jewel Golf Course in Lake City and put together an impressive performance to beat the Tigers.

The Wingers shot 302 and had five players break 80. Jarrett Enevold led Red Wing with a 74, Ross Elford shot 75 while Tyler Grove shot 76, Matthew Petterson 77, Blake Westerberg 78 and Jack Gorman 81. Both Lake City and the Wingers played from the bronze tees, which shortened the course considerably.

“I think the best thing about it is it’s a real good positive … a real good thought process to shoot like this,” Red Wing head coach Todd Petterson said.

Lake City’s Jack Falvey won medalist honors with a 73. Sam Klipfel shot 82, Cory Dick 85, Ryan Pribyl 87, Matt Glasenapp 88 and Jesse Oliver 90.
