Events will help raise money for the American Cancer Society

Two events with ties to the American Cancer Society are planned locally next week. On Monday, three Mississippi Shuffle teams will serve as hosts at Culvers from 5 to 8 p.m. The money raised will go toward research and assistance. The Mississippi Shuffle Relay for Life will be Aug. 10-11 at Bay Point Park.

At 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Relay for Life of Wabasha County will hold a kick-off at St. Mark's Church in Lake City. Past teams and those interested in learning about the event are invited. The 2012 Relay for Life of Wabasha County is scheduled for Aug. 3-4 at Patton Park in Lake City.
