Chad Fox, senior, Plum City, guard
Fox emerged as a solid second scorer for the Blue Devils, who finished one game shy of state last year. Fox scored 11 points per game and had five rebounds a game this season. Fox went from primarily a jump shooter to becoming more of an aggressive driver to the rim, head coach Zach Watkins said.
Michael McNamara, senior, Goodhue, guard
McNamara averaged 11.9 points per game this season and 7.3 rebounds to help lead the Wildcats to the 1A West subsection semifinals. Goodhue relied on McNamara throughout the season as it rebounded from reaching the state tournament last year.
McNamara also led the team in blocks and finished second on the team with 52 steals.
Zach Hinrichs, senior, Lake City, forward
Hinrichs, a 6-foot-6 inch post, led Lake City in scoring this season from his post position and at times controlled the paint for the Tigers. Hinrichs, a Hiawatha Valley League All-Conference selection, scored 12.3 points per game and pulled down a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game. He hit 53 percent of his shots from the floor and had 36 blocked shots.
Ben Schramski, junior, Lake City, guard
Schramski finished second on the team in scoring for Lake City with 10.9 points per game. Schramski shot 33 percent from 3-point range and 38 percent from the field and when he was on it made a big difference for the Tigers.
Nathaniel Rauen, junior, Zumbrota-Mazeppa, guard
Rauen, a HVL All-Conference selection, took on an increased role this season for the Cougars to finish with a 12 points per game average. Rauen also had 2.3 steals a game and 1.6 assists per game.
