Two injured when vehicle hit house

Two Goodhue people were injured Sunday afternoon when their vehicle struck a residence in Featherstone Township, the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office reported. John H. Haas, 82, was driving southbound on County Road 1 when the vehicle crossed the center line, entered the west ditch and hit a driveway. The vehicle then went airborne and struck a residence at 28715 County Road 1 Blvd.

Haas stated he fell asleep. He suffered possible injuries. His passenger, Mary Haas, 77, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Both were transported by Red Wing Ambulance to Fairview Red Wing Medical Center.

No one at the residence was injured. The sheriff’s office didn’t have information about the house’s owner or how much damage was caused.
