Trampin’ the Trails

Trampin’ the Trails, a new class for kids in grades 2-4, will spend time outdoors on Red Wing trails. The class will meet 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays. We will meet at the trail head and spend an hour outdoors exploring the bluff. We begin April 17 and will meet at Memorial Park lower quarry for our first hike. There will be four hikes on consecutive Tuesdays. Other hikes will include Barn Bluff, Coon Hill and Oakwood Cemetery. Cost is $10. Bring your hiking boots, backpack and something to drink. Please pre-register by April 10.

Youth tennis

Beginning tennis lessons for grades 3–5 will be held Wednesdays from 5 to 6 p.m. beginning April 18 at the Twin Bluff courts. The class meets for five weeks. Players should bring their racquet and something to drink. Cost is $25.

Soccer clinic

Coach Dusty Beckman will conduct the spring clinic for grades 2-8 from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday April 21 at the Red Wing High School soccer fields. Cost is $19. Proceeds will benefit the Winger girls soccer team. Bring a ball with your name on it, something to drink and wear sunscreen. Saturday May 5 will be rain date.

Kickball league

There will be an organizational kickball league meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday April 11 in high school room J108 (enter door 10). Teams should send a representative. Play will be Wednesday nights at A.P. Anderson Park. The season runs from mid-May through July. Team fee is $225. Teams are coed and you must have a minimum of four women on the field.
