Frequent Red Wing performer Sutter honored

Ross Sutter, a frequent visitor to and performer in Red Wing and the Great River Road region, has won an Ordway Center for the Performing Arts 2011 Sally Ordway Irvine Award.

Sutter, who often is featured in Anderson Center events, received the education award. He plays an array of folk instruments and is committed to nurturing arts in schools and cultural organizations with performances and long-term residencies, Ordway officials said.
