2012 Wastewater Plant
Improvements Secondary Digester Cover, Mixers and Appurtenances
Red Wing, Minnesota
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received, publicly opened and read aloud by the City of Red Wing, Minnesota, at the City Hall, 315 West 4th Street, Red Wing, Minnesota 55066 in said city at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012 to construct the 2012 Wastewater Plant Improvements - Secondary Digester Cover, Mixers and Appurtenances as defined in the drawings and specifications. A general description of the work includes:
1.Removal and disposal of existing cover;
2.Fabrication, painting and installation of new cover;
3.Installation of digester mixers;
4.Installation appurtenant equipment;
5.Electrical work will be by others;
Plans and specifications as prepared by the City of Red Wing are on file and available for review during normal business hours at the City of Red Wing Public Works building, 229 Tyler Road North, Red Wing Minnesota. 55066
A pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Red Wing Wastewater Treatment Plant, 1020 East 5th Street, Red Wing, Minnesota. This will provide potential bidders with an opportunity to observe the existing facilities and discuss the project with the Owners Authorized Representative.
Complete sets of Bidding Documents and bidding instructions are available for downloading from the City of Red Wing website (www.red-wing.org) for a non-refundable fee of $20.00. Paper Bidding documents are available through Docunet.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or cashier’s check payable to the City of Red Wing in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guarantee that the Bidder, if successful, will enter into a contract with the Owner for the work described in the bidding documents. This deposit will be subject to forfeiture as provided by law. The deposits for the three lowest bidders will be retained by the Owner until the contract has been awarded and executed, but no longer than ninety (90) days. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days following the bid opening.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, in the best interest of the Owner.
