Man arrested after Pine Island stabbing
A man is being held in Goodhue County Jail after another man was stabbed in Pine Island Township Tuesday morning, the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office reported. Alfred Einberger, 33, of Rochester was booked in on second-degree assault charges. Bail is set at $100,000.

Deputies were called to 21674 460th St. at 8:36 a.m. Thomas J. Siem Jr., 35, also of Rochester, reported that he had been stabbed during a fight with Einberger. Police arrested Einberger at the scene.
Siem was transported to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester with non-life-threatening injuries. Sheriff’s spokeswomen Kris Weiss said Siem underwent surgery Tuesday afternoon. St. Marys reported he has since been released.
A second man, Joshua Ottman, 36, Oronoco, Minn., was also arrested at the scene on fifth-degree possession of methamphetamine charges.
The incident is still under investigation.
