Red Wing watershed meeting is March 29
A Red Wing watershed meeting will be held March 29 at the St. James Hotel in Red Wing to discuss water quality issues facing the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, InCommons, farm groups and a wide range of citizen groups will sponsor the event. The meeting will attempt to find ways the community can help improve water quality in the area.
A Red Wing watershed meeting will be held March 29 at the St. James Hotel in Red Wing to discuss water quality issues facing the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, InCommons, farm groups and a wide range of citizen groups will sponsor the event. The meeting will attempt to find ways the community can help improve water quality in the area.
InCommons, a community-based initiative that connects Minnesotans to address complicated issues, will facilitate the round-table discussion. An evening meal will be offered to those in attendance at the conclusion of the meeting.
The event is free and open to the public but registration is mandatory before March 27. Registration for the evening meal and dialogue must be made separately by calling 1-877-269-2873.
Organizers expect a large turnout and seating is available for the first 80 people to register. Similar discussions took place in Mankato and Owatonna recently with more than 200 people in attendance.
