Letter: Your street is next

To the Editor:

With the upcoming Monday March 26 City Council meeting to consider the making of an improvement of the following streets:

• Hallquist Avenue (Pioneer Road to 230 feet westerly of Chickadee Court)

• Eunice Avenue (entire street)

• Frenn Avenue (Hallquist Avenue to 210 feet southeasterly)

• Pine Ridge Boulevard (Hallquist Avenue to 180 feet northerly)

• Chickadee Court (Hallquist Avenue to 200 feet southerly)

We thought it might be of interest to other homeowners of the remaining sidewalk projects that are in the city of Red Wing 2012–16 Capital Plan:

• Withers Harbor Drive - 2012 — Bowling Alley to Old West Main Street: $22,000

• Neal Street - 2013 — alley west of Hillside Drive to Hay Creek Valley Road, plus

• Hay Creek Valley Road – Neal Street northerly to connection West Hay Creek Trail: $55,000

• Bush Street – 2014 — 17th Street to end of C&G: $265,000

• South Park Street - 2015 - Between 17th and 18th, plus

• Hennings Avenue – entire street: $85,000

• Old West Main Street – 2016 — Withers Harbor Drive to Harrison Street: $50,000.
